Luke Reynolds

You might recognize this guys name from two posts back, Blue Merle, and Pictures and Sound. That is because we are huge fans of his and after posting our link to our write up on Pictures and Sound he informed me of his new solo album. So I immediately checked it out and found out that it was just as good as his previous stuff. Luke Reynolds is a musical genius and for all of our fans that love mellow, indie, alternative music this guy will immediately become one of your favorite musicians ever. (I just found out about his new album literally 5 minutes ago and I feel like I should have known about it earlier!)

His new album, Maps, has hints of music from his last two bands, Pictures and Sound and Blue Merle. For those that like his faster stuff you will love his song,Better Off. Maps also has some songs with vibes that were not in his last two bands, and they are great!

Songs I Recommend: (All of Them)
Floating in Space - This will remind you of Pictures and Sound a lot!
Flood - a bit different from his last two but an amazing song!
Better Off - This song reminds me of Every War from Pictures and Sound
Church on Sunday - This song has a kick to it and its great. Very Soulful, incorporates "The One" feeling James Brown introduced to the world.
Circles + Lines - reminds me 100 Directions from Pictures and Sound
One Step At a Time - Another great song
What You Want - has a Gary Go feeling. It's just him and a Piano and it really shows off his voice, which has been compared to Chris Martin of Coldplay.

So by now, if You haven't noticed this guy is great, so check out his stuff.
